Various unusual vacation trip ideas are as follows:

1. Explore mountains by going on a backpacking trip. But make sure where you are going. If possible, take horses and enjoy horseback riding. Carry camp equipment, stay there and enjoy natural beauty and surroundings.

2. Go on a guided trip or exploration trip to some scientific place or archeological spot. Study and learn these fields and improve your knowledge about otherwise dour subjects. This will be a different kind of vacation that you will remember for a long time.

3. Go on a wine tour. You will come across beautiful vineyards, get to taste the tastiest wine and learn how wine is prepared. These vineyards are away from hustle and bustle of city and town. Explore these places. Dine there to taste exquisite cuisine of that particular area.

4. Visit zoological park. Learn about various animals and birds in natural habitat. Children enjoy this visit very much. Study behavior of animals and birds. That will make you conscious of environment and ecological balance.

5. Land yourself for few weeks in a deserted island. Bring along lot of food and water to last for that duration. Also, bring camp equipment and books to pass time. Just sleep, read and take a walk across the island and explore it to the hilt.

6. Visit a winter tourist spot in summer and summer tourist spot in winter. Visit hill resort in winter and beaches in rainy season. Take a trip to desert resort in hot summer. As the place will not have must visitors and tourists, privacy and quietness is assured. Plus, you get to explore the surroundings and the place fully, to the hilt, without any hindrance.
